This thread is about the companies, organisations and so on who are known to be the polluters.

This article for example, showing the top 100 companies 'killing the planet' :

Names and Locations of the Top 100 People Killing the Planet

US military consumes more hydrocarbons than most countries—massive hidden impact on climate

The US military's carbon footprint is enormous and must be confronted in order to have a substantial effect on battling global warming.

Research by social scientists from Durham University and Lancaster University shows the US military is one of the largest climate polluters in history, consuming more liquid fuels and emitting more CO2e (carbon-dioxide equivalent) than most countries.

The majority of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting routinely focuses on civilian energy use and fuel consumption, not on the US military. This new study, published in Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers, calculates part of the US military's impact on climate change through critical analysis of its global logistical supply chains.

I cross posted this one both to my Face Book Page and the Pagan Political Comment page. I also added a post about a city in India of ten million that also is running out of water.

It doesn’t get more hypocritical than A-listers jetting in on private planes to bemoan climate change at Google’s private party in Sicily this week.

The Gulfstreams, mega-yachts and gas-guzzling Maserati SUVs used to ferry the wokerati around the seaside Google Camp have been spewing out greenhouse gases at the rate of small nations.

Former President Barack Obama, actor Leonardo DiCaprio, singer Katy Perry and Prince Harry are said to be among 300 guests invited by Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin to their luxurious annual shindig which has been dubbed “Davos by the Sea. ”

Either they don’t believe climate change is the big problem they keep saying it is, or they just don’t care enough about saving the planet to give up their perks.

But they can hardly lecture the rest of us on prudent management of the earth’s environment when they’re burning up more than 300 gallons of diesel an hour on their private yachts or spewing tons of CO2 into the air from their private jets.

Whether it’s the megawatts of power consumed by the sound system at a dusk concert or the bright lights illuminating the ruins of the Temple of Hera where the Google Campers dined under the stars on Monday night, their eco-indulgence knows no bounds.

Mike,
Nothing suprises me when it comes for thexrich and famous. They apparently live on an alternate Earth that bares no resemblance to the one that we experience. They also seem to believe that all can problems can be solved if you hold a conference at an expensive resort, much like our politicians do.

Australia pledged Friday to stop exporting recyclable waste amid global concerns about plastic polluting the oceans and increasing pushback from Asian nations against accepting trash.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison agreed with Australian state and territory leaders to prepare a timeline to phase out the exports of recyclables like plastics, paper and glass.

"It's our waste and it's our responsibility," he told reporters on Friday.

"We're laying it out very clearly that there will be no export of plastics and paper and glass to other countries where it runs the risk of ending up floating around in our oceans—whether off the Great Barrier Reef, which we know there's strong evidence of that, or anywhere else," he said.

"We will do everything that is in our remit to achieve that goal," he added.

No deadline has been set but local leaders have been tasked with reducing landfill and boosting the recycling sector in Australia, where just 12 percent of plastics are currently recycled.

Government figures show the country shipped over four million tons, or 12 percent, of its recyclable waste overseas last financial year, largely to Asian countries.

China began restricting imports on foreign plastics in 2017, leaving developed nations seeking new destinations to dump their rubbish.

They started shipping huge amounts of trash to other Asian nations like Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

View user's profile
California law enforcement has learned that Mexican drug traffickers are using a dangerous pesticide banned in the United States to grow marijuana in remote areas of California's Sierra Nevada mountains, and are going after their operations.

The pesticide, carbofuran, is toxic to wildlife and humans and can cause permanent reproductive damage. Law enforcement took reporters on a tour of one of the illegal grow sites on Tuesday, where a bottle of carbofuran could be seen.

Experts say carbofuran is so hazardous that a teaspoon will kill a full-grown bear. Partly because of illegal grow sites, traces of carbofuran's deadly chemical composition have been detected in streams and rivers, and found in animals—living and dead—including threatened species such as the Pacific fisher.

"It's a web of death that happens," said Mourad Gabriel, co-director of the Integral Ecology Research Center, a natural-resource nonprofit that has spearheaded the effort to track the environmental impacts of trespass grow sites, and also leads the charge to clean them up.

Greta Thunberg:

'You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words,' climate activist Greta Thunberg has told world leaders at the 2019 UN climate action summit in New York.

In an emotionally charged speech, she accused them of ignoring the science behind the climate crisis, saying: 'We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth - how dare you!'

Even on one Pagan Political discussion forums that I take part in. I find it sickening.

Hollywood celebrities and business leaders have carbon footprints up to 300 times bigger than the rest of us, a study reveals, highlighting the hypocrisy of those who promote climate change activism while refusing to set foot on a commercial flight.
Rich and famous “super-emitters” are such constant travelers they could also be encouraging others to follow in their slipstream by boasting of their private jet-setting habits on social media, researchers found.

Topping the list of celebrity greenhouse gas super-emitters is Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates, with a whopping carbon footprint of more than 1,600 tons of CO2.
