Astral Projection with David Goddard

Saturday, 30th January 2010 At The Atlantis Bookshop

11:00 – 18:00 Please arrive from 10:30

Astral Projection is where our Consciousness separates from the physical body so that it can journey in the spirit world (or astral plane). It is out-of-body experience. In this state of awareness, you can travel and see things beyond the ability of your physical body.

You can travel across the face of Earth. You can see things that you never would in 100 years of physical travelling. You can enter the Astral Plane and see your loved ones who have lain aside their ‘garments of flesh’ [died]. You can experience wonders: sights, colours, sounds and fragrances, which the physical plane just can’t express. You can meet Soul-guides and Wisdom-teachers to learn secrets that would otherwise take incarnations to know. And you can fly with the Angels!

But the major benefit of Astral Projection is your personal verification of immortality. To know - beyond any doubt - that your ‘being’ is not dependent on a physical body. This is a life-changing experience: to know that you are free, boundless and glorious. Through Astral Projection you can become a Child of the Cosmos. So come to this seminar and learn what it is to be a Universal Being!

Fee - £50.00

The Secret of Real Success magic!
Effective techniques for achieving all you really want.
A day course at The Atlantis Bookshop with Mark Watson PhD.
Saturday 20th November 2010 11am - 5:30pm Fee: £55.
Are you one of the many people who have tried one or more ‘practical magic’ systems to manifest your wishes and desires with little or no consistent successful results?
Would you like to learn how to make your chosen system of ‘practical magic’ consistently more effective and successful in manifesting your wishes and desires?
Would you like an easy to learn and easily adaptable set of simple, effective and practical tools and techniques to help you achieve all you REALLY want in life?
Do you REALLY want to live a more full and enchanted life of true purpose, happiness, health, vocation, wealth, romance or love?
If you answered “YES! ” to any of these questions, then this day course is for you!

What’s it all about?
On this introductory but highly practical day-course, suitable for anyone, Mark will teach you a set of well-proven practical tools and techniques on how to use your thoughts, emotions and physiology to help you to effectively manipulate your personal reality, and successfully identify and achieve all you REALLY want in life. The tools and techniques Mark will teach you are the result of many years’ of detailed and on-going research, experimentation and successful practical application. In other words, this stuff REALLY works!

You will learn a system or model of manifestation that includes a workable and practical explanation of how the more effective ‘traditional magic’ techniques work, and how their effectiveness may be enhanced, in the light of recent findings of the neurosciences of consciousness, cognition, perception and behaviour.
The model also includes a powerfully effective multimodal, ‘whole-self’ creative imagination technique, the effectiveness of which goes well beyond most commonly taught creative visualisation methods.

The ‘NeuroMage Model’ is a complete, person-centred, humanistic approach to manifestation magic that does not rely for its effective application upon many years of detailed and laborious training or grades, ‘supernatural’ abilities or forces, or on discarnate entities or deities. Instead, it can be learnt quickly and effectively, puts the responsibility and personal power firmly in the hands of the practitioner, and can be adapted and used with ANY belief system, or instead used as a secular, stand-alone model. This is simple, no-nonsense, practical manifestation magic for anyone who is prepared to practice with the persistence and determination needed to succeed, of any age, of any ability, of any faith or religion, or none at all!

EVERYONE gets ‘results’ in their magic; the NeuroMage Model is for those who want REAL SUCCESSES!
The Art & Science of Shaping Reality!

Just who is Dr Mark Watson and what are his credentials?
Preferring to be judged by what he has actually achieved in his everyday life, rather than just by what or who he knows, Mark claims no special psychic or ‘magical’ abilities or grade, he has no particular religious or faith-based convictions, and he is not a member of any esoteric or magical groups, secret or otherwise. Instead, Mark has considerable relevant personal training, learning and practical experience of about thirty years. He has successfully used the simple ‘NeuroMage Model’ tools and techniques he teaches to achieve many things, including: good health & fitness; wonderful relationships; a beautiful and loving partner; live how and where he chooses, currently in a lovely home in the English Lake District; achieve high, world-class academic and professional status; create a unique and innovative career he loves; enjoy ‘significant’ financial security, prosperity and abundance; live his true purpose, and find true happiness. In short, Mark uses the very same practical ‘manifestation’ tools and techniques he teaches to live a full and enchanted life, happy, healthy, wealthy and, hopefully, wise!

To book a place at any of our Evening classes or Workshops please contact The Atlantis Bookshop by either email or telephone and we will happily add your name to the list.

With best wishes,
Bali and Geraldine

Dear All,
We thought we'd kick off 2011 with some magic and meditation. Shakespeare's most magical play, the Tempest is being re-told by a superb storyteller who highlights characters who mean most to people like us. Xanthe Gresham's performance is enhanced by evocative live music.

The Enchanted Isle of Sycorax.

The story of Shakespeare’s Tempest is told with poetic license to include a meditation on the mysterious sorceress, Sycorax who was so powerful she could enchant the moon and tempt the trees to prophesy.

Performed by Xanthe Gresham (xanthegresham.co.uk) with cello, harp and accordion accompaniment from Sherry Robinson.

Gresham is a truly great storyteller who unwraps each story like the petals of a lotus – British Theatre Review

Coming up at The moot With No Name...
27 April - Aidan Rankin
Shinto and the Web of Life

Shinto is an unbroken Pagan pathway fully adapted to the needs of an urban, technological society. It connects the realm of the Ancestors with present and future generations and reconnects humanity with Dai Shizen or Great Nature. Although indigenous to Japan, the Way of Kami assumes universal significance today as we all seek to lead more balanced and fulfilling lives. The concept of Musubi (Organic Growth) provides an alternative both to materialistic consumer culture and world-renouncing Puritanism. Musubi teaches us to live creatively within nature’s limits and celebrates human intelligence as an expression of divine or Kami energy. Aidan Rankin is a writer and researcher on spiritual and esoteric matters. His most recent book is Shinto: A Celebration of Life (2011) and he is also the author of The Jain Path and Many-Sided Wisdom. His training in Shinto took place at the Japanese Dutch Shinzen Foundation. He has a PhD in Government and an Advanced Diploma in Stress Management. He is currently training in Eastern Psychotherapy.

4 May - Vincent Ongkowidjojo
Nine Worlds in Norse Mythology

To Jung, every person creates an imaginary world in his dreams in which archetypal symbols play out the life of his psyche. To the occult thinker, myths are in the same way the accurate translation of experiences beyond ordinary reality within a specific group mind. Through this imagery of myth it is possible to enter the dimensions not only of our own psyche but also of the existent gods. Exploring the Norse myths reveals the contents and principles of the Viking magical mind. Accordingly, a landscape is constructed mapping out the spatial arrangement and mutual relationship of the Nine Worlds and their inhabitants. But as a symbolic representation such a landscape becomes a practical instrument in psycho-analysis, divination, astral travel and mental travel.

11 May - John Nicholson
The Rebirth of Merlin: John Michell Considered

Two years ago, April 24th, John Michell died. Days later an issue of Fortean Times appeared containing a collection of pieces celebrating the 40th anniversary of the publication of ‘The View over Atlantis’. The immeasurable impact of that moment was described in the key-note article by John Nicholson. Adapted from his ground-breaking study of John Michell’s works it drew on the close collaboration between them from the early 1970s on various weird publishing ventures. An English Figure came in 1987 and provided an overview and they remained friends to the end. Therefore John Nicholson is uniquely placed to speak of John Michell. This evening John shows ways we have viewed Merlin which reflect on Michell. Especially valuable he draws on his experience as a bookseller to detail the milieu out of which Michell’s work emerged. Finally he relates John and his work to the preceding parts to show how both cross-fertilise. John Nicholson is an accomplished public speaker having given talks for various literary festivals and run a series of five ‘Idling workshops’. He was the Director of The National Small Press Centre at Middlesex University. Over the years he has been a frequent contributor to many strange magazines. He is a founder member of the John Michell Society and still drinks for England.

18 May - Psychic Cafe £5
Connecting with your Inner Goddess

Goddesses of the past have always held a mystical fascination. However, today the 21st Century Goddess energy relates to you and everyone around you. We will be looking at the roots of the archetypal Goddess and how this relates to each of us now. A mixture of mythology, metaphysics, meditation and some fun exercises so you can discover your inner Goddess power.
Presented by Bali and Geraldine of The Atlantis Bookshop. The cost of this evening is £5.

London’s leading esoteric gathering The Moot With No Name is presented by The Atlantis Bookshop and meets at The Devereux Arms in Devereux Court which is a lovely old pub with good food, good beer and good company. 20 July - Gary Dickinson
The Mask of Lam
Over the past two years Gary Dickinson has been, both philosophically and artistically, on the trail of Kwaw Li-ya, Crowley’s ‘Chinese’ persona and reincarnation of the third century Daoist mage Ko Hsuan. His researches have taken him on a metaphorical journey across China from the high Himalayas to Shanghai and eventually to New York. It was here in 1919 that Crowley produced and exhibited one of his best known drawings, ‘The Way’, better known today as a ‘portrait of Lam’. Gary’s recent sell-out exhibition, ‘Seven Masks’, explored the modern myth surrounding the ‘Cult of Lam’, tracing its various threads back to either Eastern sources or interpretations of them by Madame Blavatsky and Crowley himself. Far from being a ‘little green man’, let alone a ‘Grey ’, Lam emerges as an adept of the Yellow School.
Tonight, Gary explains the complex imagery of his ‘Seven Masks’ and his re- envisioning of the mysterious face behind the mask of ‘Lam ’. Gary Dickinson is a Thelemic artist best known for his superb replicas of the Stele of Revealing. An expert in the field of Chinese art and symbolism, Gary has lectured in major museums throughout the
world.
